“ Went to Canal Lounge with friends on a recent trip to Montreal. We hit the market up first and then did the extremely short walk over to Canal Lounge. It is situated on a dock right in the canal. We were greated by the owner at the top of the dock who was kind enough to snap some pictures of our group. We started off inside the boat but noticed an upper roof top patio area big enough to accommodate 4 people and asked our server of we could sit up their. He abliged and said it was one of the most sought after seats. They started us with water while we waited for our cocktails. I ordered the sea breeze to start. It was an excellent choice for a warm summers day. Very refreshing, flavourful, not too boozy and had chunks of frozen fruit along with the ice. It prompted my friends to order one for their second drink. I got a beer for drink 2. The views are great and it is a cool spot to watch the afternoon go by while enjoying a drink. Service was excellent and I would return on a future visit to Montreal. Make this a destination on your trip to Montreal. ”
“ I enjoyed the concept of a lounge on a boat. It's beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and plants. There are several seats inside and a few outside. I couldn't do outside because it was on cushions, and I wouldn't be able to lift myself afterward. Seabreeze (drink) was delicious, and so were the shared appetizers. It's really cozy. ”
“ This is truly one of the most original concepts I've seen in Montreal. We went on a day where they were partnering with a japanese izakaya near Atwater metro. We had virgin peach lemonade that was refreshing and sweet, totally hit the spot on a sunny day. The place is small, intimate, with nice decor and enough space to walk. Being on the water, the boat rocks a little so be mindful that you could get dizzy. Prices are fair and service is friendly. Could be a nice spot for a date. I will be coming back! ”
“ I'd recommend this bar to anyone looking for a nice drink on a boat during the evening! Service is great and the drinks and well priced. The ambiance is nice and when it's warm out it doesn't feel to hot in the boat and there's plenty of space. You have the chance to sit on the outside of the boat but those spots are limited. You may find yourself waiting in line to get on the host boat at times but they aren't too long. If you have to use the washroom, I'd recommend going before entering as they do have a bathroom but only good for peeing. ”

I guess the place itself and the ambiance are worth the price. There's a line up, as no reservations. The view outside is pretty cool while waiting for your turn. Even though the weather is chilly. ”
